As part of our Technology drive, we are looking for on-board talented and passionate people (Full Stack Engineers, Product Leaders, Cyber Experts, Data Buffs, Architects) across multiple locations including India, Romania, parts of Europe and North America.As Leader of Data Platform and Engineering, you must be a hands-on engineering leader with broad and deep data skillset who can spearhead multiple concurrent data initiatives to meet business goals and improve existing data processing pipelines. As a leader, you challenge conventional thinking and work with stakeholders to identify and improve the status quo. You are passionate about talent development for your own team and beyond. You are comfortable with open-source languages and experience developing data platforms and solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms. You are statistically minded and have built models, validated them, and back tested them. You have experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning. Building and maintaining strong relationships and earning and maintaining confidence with both customers and business leaders are critically important responsibilities for this role. You have experience with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learningWhat you will own?Serve as the primary lead on program scoping, development and implementation related to Data ingestion, aggregation, availability, and processing to drive and enable additional insights from available data sets, working with Product/Data Science when appropriate.Find improvements and help keeping the data pipelines in efficient, resilient, and well-tuned state with the goal of reducing processing related infrastructure efforts and expenses, saving both time and money for the company.Be the steward of the data ecosystem getting buy-ins from all stakeholders for enhancements and cleanup/organizational improvements of the data throughout the company.Be the technical partner for non-data-engineering teams (product, data science, client analytics and the rest of engineering) with their data needs/requirements, actively participating in all phases, from inception of the idea to production release.Significant experience working with structured and unstructured data at scale and comfort with a variety of different stores (key-value, document, columnar, etc.) as well as traditional RDBMS and data warehouses.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work well in an agile, collaborative team environmentDrive teams to implement a modern data and analytics platform.Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate program requirements into scalable technical solutions and system designsCollaborate with other members of the Core Technologies Services team and development management, to evaluate solutions and gain consensus on technical solutionsResearch, design, test, and evaluate new technologies, platforms, and third-party productsWork with technology teams to prototype and prove the viability of data platform solutionsEnsure alignment of solutions with Enterprise Architecture principles and guidelinesResearch and understand new technology trends and productsSocialize information on technology trends and productsProvide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practicesManipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniquesQualifications Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree plus 15 years of experience in data engineering, or Master's Degree plus 12 years of experience in data platforms, engineering and technologiesMinimum of 7 years of experience with relational and non-relational databasesMinimum of 5 year of experience managing people and/or teamMinimum of 4 years of experience in open-source programming languagesMinimum of 2 years of experience with machine learningWell versed with data offerings as part of Azure/AWS/GCP Paas services.Preferred QualificationsPhD in "STEM" field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) plus 5 years of experience in data analyticsMinimum of 5 years of experience developing in Spark, Python, SQL, Java, or Scala, C/C++, Microsoft TechnologiesMinimum of 2 years of experience with data science Notebooks (Jupyter, Zeppelin, or RStudio)Minimum of 2 year of experience working with Public CloudExperience in consulting, product and/or AEC industryWhy Choose Arcadis?Arcadis is the leading global design and consulting firm for natural and built assets, and we invite you to join us in partnering with our clients to deliver truly exceptional and sustainable outcomes. Full time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels a bonus program may apply. The Salary range for this role is $99,008 - $158,288 for Colorado based positions only. Other locations will vary in salary range.
