The Systems Architect (SA) supports the conceptualization, development and sustainment of the next generation digital initiatives, systems and IT infrastructures necessary for our enterprise digital transformation. SA is expected to provide leadership of the enterprise and systems architecture and engineering efforts with a focus on the mission and customer needs of all NG sectors, external partners, programs of record and Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders. The SA is expected to also drive the development of functional and logical architectures to support enterprise wide insertion and adoption of current and emerging capabilities that span analytics, cloud, AI, collaboration, mixed reality and more.The successful SA candidate will join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Roles and Responsibilities include:Designs and develops system architectures and defines key capabilities and performance requirements.Defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications.Develops thorough definition of system external interfaces. Defines system implementation approach and operational concept.Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.Is a subject matter expert (SME) in IT systems, cloud infrastructure, classified networks, and business systems.Gains an understanding of the existing technical, cloud environments and workloads taking note of any potential gaps or risks.Possess strong technical problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.Is competent in MBSE to maintain model completeness and accuracy across the systems.Works closely with IT security to monitor and refine the program's security framework.Possess a strong resolve to drive tasks to completion autonomously and demonstrated mentoring/training skills.Works across a distributed team to develop system architectures supporting our partners and customers.Maintain a holistic perspective of the program's strategy, processes, and information and technology assets.Is responsible for ensuring technical project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.Provides clear task definitions across Technical Leads, and provides clear, consistent communication to direct the efforts of Technical Leads within Program ES Teams.Is responsible for escalating issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the appropriate levels for clarification and resolution.Provides regular interface with program management, engineering staff and external customers.Presents architecture solution alternatives to leadership and customer.Leads and supports technical reviews.Coordinates baselines across system level requirements, architecture and detailed design requirements.Coordinates the creation of, and goals for, Functional Analysis, Performance Analyses, Constraint Analyses, Trade Studies and Verification Cases.Coordinates the interdependencies of engineering analyses (Use cases, Modeling & Simulation, Trades, Verification).Coordinates the prioritization of engineering analyses to mitigate technical and program risks.Coordinates Interface management across Integrated Product Teams.Ensures completeness of architecture definitions and views to support milestone reviews.Supports trade studies, system sensitivity studies, design optimization studies, system performance assessments, system design assessments, Operations Analysis work such as mission analysis and timelines and Concept of Operations development.Is responsible for keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's in Science with a minimum of 14 Years of relevant IT professional experience; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhDExperience with Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Fences, Google, IBM, and classified Components)MBSE experience with having implemented system architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as MagicDraw (Cameo Enterprise Architect), Rhapsody, CORE etc.Experience working with classified networking and systemsExperience working with Business Systems (Manufacturing Execution System, Enterprise Resource Planning, Logistics, etc.)Experience with cybersecurity requirements and Information Technologies OperationsExperience communicating complicated Architectural concepts to leaderships and IT partnersPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on an Agile teamAt least 5 years of Cloud experienceAt least 5 years of MBSE experienceCapability in architecture design, system evaluation, system analysis, and infrastructure assessmentMaster's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.AWS CertificationExperience with Agile tools such as Atlassian Jira, MS Azure DevOps etc.Active DoD Secret security clearanceSalary Range: 155600 - 233400Salary Range 2: 141400 - 212200Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
