This position serves as an integral member of the project team working to deliver complex design-build projects nationwide. The Design Manager / Sr. Design Manager serves as the primary team lead through the design development phase of the project. Key responsibilities include:+ Ultimately responsible for design deliverables through the design process+ Actively lead an integrated design-build team and regularly interface with the client, designers, and trade partners+ Successfully deliver high-quality design on budget and on schedule+ Ensure that design meets contractual obligations and program requirements+ Lead stakeholder decision meetings, design progress meetings, and design conferences+ Organize the design review process and lead resolution to all comments+ Lead collaboration both internally with cost manager and purchasing agent and externally with key project stakeholders+ Manage design issue resolution in real-time+ Participate in bid submissions and the development of RFP and RFQ responses including providing strategic insights to pursuit strategy**Qualifications:**+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or related field+ 4-8 years of relevant work experience, preferably with design-build experience+ Qualified experience may include work as a development manager, design manager, project manager, or design professional; experience managing project staff is preferred+ Must have a strong interest in construction general contracting and in the design-build delivery process+ Understanding of how to execute successful Design-Build projects+ Basic understanding of BIM modeling, a plus working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit+ Preferred membership in DBIA or other industry associations+ Active Clearance Required**Skills & Abilities:**+ Strong knowledge of design and cost management principles and practices+ A clear understanding of integrated design and construction schedules+ Appreciation and understanding of architecture firms' business model, design principles and process+ Ability to lead a collaborative design process with various stakeholders+ Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills+ Ability to train, manage and influence several direct reports+ Ability to motivate and collaborate with peers working at other firms+ Ability to work with and present to executive leadership+ Ability to participate in pursuit efforts for design-build projects+ Self-motivated, organized team player with the ability to manage work priorities in a fast-paced environment+ Ability to develop and maintain a collaborative, creative work environment and influence othersLearn more about Clark and our business units at ClarkConstruction.com\#LI-LG1_ck\#GDEqual Opportunity Employer:Clark Construction Group, LLC, (subsidiaries and affiliates) is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
