Direct Hire Reports To: Digital Innovation's Lead for Federal Location: DC Metro Area Interview: On MS Teams, video calls Job Overview: Looking to hire a talented Principal Cloud Architect to sell into and manage cloud architecture opportunities across the Federal Government. The candidate needs to have expertise in cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud. Experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management and Developers is a must. Responsibilities and Duties: * Drive business decisions and work with customers to identify and develop requirements and to challenge current technology concepts * Lead architectural design sessions and pre-sales scoping activities including construction of effort estimates, work breakdown structures, and statements of work (SOWs) * Develop deep relationships with client IT decision makers to drive long-term cloud adoption and enable them to be cloud advocates * Serve as a technical subject matter expert in Insight's strategic growth areas, instilling knowledge and best practices into our sales, delivery, marketing, and partner alliance teams * Provide architecture oversight for project delivery teams * Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability, and reliability upon deployment * Manage, mentor, evaluate performance, set goals, provide feedback, and grow a team of varying experience levels and skillsets * Act as a thought leader in the IT community and connect with like-minded professionals across Insight's client and partner networks to foster business development opportunities Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field * 15+ total years of professional experience * 10+ years of experience as a software engineer with hands on programming * Familiarity and professional experience with the full Microsoft technology stack, particularly Azure PaaS and IaaS services * 3+ years of experience as a software Architect * 4+ years of professional hands-on experience with cloud and hybrid-cloud implementations including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS utilizing Azure, AWS, and/or GCP * Expert knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends * Professional experience in designing, building, evolving and rebuilding enterprise grade software * Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated technical ideas both within the organization and with clients/partners * Architect level experience with a consulting firm is preferred * Flexibility and willingness for occasional travel to client sites as necessary * Active US Government Security Clearance required (minimum Secret, Top Secret preferred) Client Info: Company is global technology company that focuses on business-to-business and information technology (IT) capabilities for enterprises, with four primary business areas covering Digital Innovation, Cloud and Data Center Transformation, Supply Chain Optimization, and Connected Workforce.
