This position will be located in the DC Metro area. This position will:Work closely with Product owners and other stakeholders to understand the business requirements in detail.Document requirements, workflows and refine user stories and backlog.Communicate defined requirements with IT and business staffProvide knowledge of applications and operational environments and high-level functional systems to various stakeholders as neededWork closely with development team to clarify any requirements/business logic and remove any hurdles.Support application testing activities and development of test plans and scriptsSupport the development of user guides and other project documentationLead UAT efforts and support end users as needed during the UAT and collect feedbackSupport team in managing the Agile sprints and track progress.Facilitate meetings and pro-actively engage with internal and external stakeholdersWork independently and as part of the larger project teamExperience:3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role supporting software development projectsPrior experience in gathering requirements for the creation of government systemsApplicable industry or technical certifications a plus (eg CSM/PMI-CAPM/Agile/Scrum/PMP etc.)Experience working in an Agile frameworkExperience conducting business analyst activities supporting Appian development projects.Skills:Knowledge and experience using JiraStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentationsMust be organized and detail-orientedMust have a team player attitudeThis is an excellent opportunity for experienced and motivated IT Professionals seeking personal challenges and professional rewards.
