Overview: World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the worlds leading conservation organizations, seeks a Communications Specialist, Private Sector Engagement.Major FunctionDevelops and implements communications with WWFs corporate partners as part of a broader strategy to inspire and motivate business audiences to take on the mantle of corporate leadership. Supports the Private Sector Engagement (PSE) division by helping implement a communications strategy focused on increasing awareness of the WWF brand through transformational business practice engagement and mission-focused communications, including executive-level outreach. This position is based in Washington DC. All candidates are requried to be availble Eastern Standard Time. Responsibilities: Develops and delivers communications priorities for WWFs priority corporate partnerships, including HP, McDonalds, P, Royal Caribbean, and The Coca-Cola Company. Works with PSE, goal team, and media and external affairs staff to ensure accuracy and consistency. Finalizes communications materials with media and external affairs staff and ensures legal approval.Works directly with colleagues at priority WWF partner companies to develop and implement communications plans to advance WWFs mission and conservation goals.Collaborates and provides expertise for the development of the sustainability social media strategy, focusing on WWFs Linkedin channel. Develops social media content including posts, video, and graphic content.Contributes to content development strategy and develops content, including blog posts, web stories, conference pitches, and stakeholder letters. Project manages asset development with third-party vendors.Provides technical input to the implementation of an executive outreach strategy aimed at business executives at corporate partner companies to help secure conservation wins and strengthen WWFs brand.Oversees implementation of a strategy for internal communications to inform and inspire WWF about the conservation impacts of our corporate partnerships. Manages internal newsletter to the WWF corporate engagement community of practice.Provides technical support and leadership to corporate engagement on WWF communication initiatives (eg Earth Hour) and PSE priority initiatives (eg No Plastic in Nature).Collaborates with all WWF goal team communicators to ensure alignment with WWF principles, standards and objectives of external communications.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Skills and AbilitiesA bachelors degree and at least 4 years of relevant work experience (eg communications agency or in-house external communications position) is required.
