Job Summary: Amentum is seeking a skilled Carpenter Maintenance - Night Shift to join our team and perform work related to construction and building & grounds maintenance in McLean,VA. This position will be responsible for the planning and the lay out of work.Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.Carpenter Grade IHours: Monday Thursday, 8:00PM - 6:30AMPerform carpentry buildings and grounds maintenance work.Perform carpentry construction work.Responsible for the planning, layout and execution of jobs.Performs minor masonry and concrete work.Perform related work as required.Provides oversight to outside contractors.Directs Carpenter II and M/M Helpers, and repair personnel as assigned.Read blueprints and generate bill of materials. Minimum Requirements: Four (4) years experience in the carpentry trade or completion of a recognized apprenticeship, vocational or internal development program for a journeyman carpenterA willingness to work shifts if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as requiredHigh school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent requiredMust be a US CitizenMust be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Possess thorough knowledge of the carpentry trade.Must be able to operate power tools and machinery as required.Ability to write correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
