The Physician shall devote his/her full time and best efforts to his/her employment under this Agreement.

Coverage at WOMC and SGMC Hospital Departments, Monday through Friday as follows:
a. A credentialed interventional radiologist will be available at WOMC and SGMC from 08:00AM until 05:00PM for scheduled procedures.

Interventional Service Coverage Requirements:
a. Monday - Friday: Hours of operation to schedule routine interventional exams will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

b. After Hours Call: Hours of coverage on weekday evenings is from 5pm to 7am Monday - Friday. Weekend coverage begins at 5pm on Friday and ends at 7am on Monday morning. If Monday is a holiday, coverage will continue until 7am on Tuesday morning. Holidays occurring in the middle of the week are covered for a 24-hour period and conclude at 7am on the following non-holiday morning.
i. All STAT after hour interventional procedures will be discussed physician to physician. Using this protocol, the ordering physician, as well as the interventional radiologist, can determine the best method of treatment for the patient.
ii. Response time will be within 15 minutes via telephone from the time of initial telephone consult.
iii. The interventional Radiologist will physically be available to perform the exam within 60 minutes from physician to physician contact if it is recognized by the ordering and responding physicians as medically appropriate.

Work Schedule:

Physician agrees to share equally in all work schedules, on-call schedules, shift locations including but not limited to, White Oak Medical Center (WOMC) , Fort Washington Medical Center (FWMC) , Shady Grove Medical Center (SGMC) Departments, affiliated AHC outpatient imaging locations ("Outpatient Imaging") or other applicable locations, and assure that all shifts will be covered, as appropriate by sub-specialty, unless otherwise stated herein, based upon the following hours of operation of the Hospital radiology departments, which may be amended by mutual written agreement between AHC and AHC, (with the consent of the AHC Radiology Medical Executive Committee), and such amendment will be binding upon Physician:

COVID-19 Vaccination

Adventist HealthCare requires all applicants to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before commencing employment. Applicants may be required to furnish proof of vaccination and , if offered, may elect to be vaccinated at a n designated Adventist HealthCare location.

Tobacco and Drug Statement

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, Adventist HealthCare will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine and drug use.

While some jurisdictions, including Maryland, permit the use of marijuana for medical purposes, marijuana continues to be classified as an illegal drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act. As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.

Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
