Job Details

General Duties. The Physician shall devote his/her full time and best efforts to his/her employment under this Agreement. In order to be deemed full-time, Physicians who provide day shift coverage shall work a minimum of 190 shifts per Contract Year and also complete no less than 8,500 Work RVUs for Diagnostic Radiologists per Contract Year. The MEC shall have the ability to adjust the wRVU threshold for Physicians who read a higher percentage of plain radiographs and perform a greater number of fluoroscopic procedures than their peers. This minimum shifts and Work RVUs per Contract Year requirement shall be prorated accordingly for part-time Physicians who provide day shift coverage. Effective April 24, 2018, in order to be deemed full-time, the above minimum shift and RVU requirements are established to determine a physician's full-time equivalent (FTE) status. The phrase, "Work RVU" shall mean the work relative value unit as determined and adjusted, from time to time, by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) as applicable to Professional Radiology Services and as made effective by CMS.

Work Schedule:

Physician agrees to share equally in all work schedules, on-call schedules, shift locations including but not limited to, White Oak Medical Center (WOMC) , Fort Washington Medical Center (FWMC) , Shady Grove Medical Center (SGMC) Departments, affiliated AHC outpatient imaging locations ("Outpatient Imaging") or other applicable locations, and assure that all shifts will be covered, as appropriate by sub-specialty, unless otherwise stated herein, based upon the following hours of operation of the Hospital radiology departments, which may be amended by mutual written agreement between AHC and AHC, (with the consent of the AHC Radiology Medical Executive Committee), and such amendment will be binding upon Physician:

COVID-19 Vaccination

Tobacco and Drug Statement

As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.

Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
