You will attain a deep understanding of our business, uncovering the key drivers of trends, and assist in developing the company's financial projections. In this critical role, you'll have high visibility and exposure within the business, collaborate with subject matter experts both within Finance and across the company.What you'll do:As our Financial Planning Analyst, you will assist in the evolution and maintenance of a detailed financial model that captures underlying business dynamics, analyzing and explaining variances from expectations, and performing analyses that will assist in the management of the company. You'll work with leaders and pertinent decision-makers across the organization to understand key drivers in all aspects of the business and translate that into the company's financial model.Your role will make important contributions that will help the company evaluate its performance, highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend and implement changes that will positively drive improvements in our growth and profitability. You must be comfortable gathering and handling confidential information, understanding complex interrelationships, and developing projections with strong quantitative and conceptual underpinnings. Further, the position will require meeting tight deadlines for the many people relying on your work, so attention to detail, good time management and grace under pressure will be important.Additionally, as part of the Finance team, you will assist on ad hoc projects, such as valuations of new business opportunities, as well as ongoing efforts to drive continuous improvements in the accuracy and sophistication of our financial analysis, the impact of our internal reporting and KPIs, and the effectiveness of our working relationships across all sectors of the company. Finally, like all of us here, you'll need to help create a positive work environment and strong relationships within the team and throughout Custom Ink.How you'll be measured:Analyzing and identifying key drivers of variances and trends, assisting in the maintenance and expansion of our financial model, and communicating those findings in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally, is critical to the success of our ever-evolving business.Accordingly, your performance will be judged on the following measures of success:Keen understanding of key drivers affecting the businessClear and concise written work product and ability to explain findingsConsistently met deadlines (especially for management and Board meetings)Effective working relationships with collaborators across the companyIdentification and implementation of improvements to our analyses, reporting, and overall impact to the business.What we're looking for: This role requires a high level of analytical and communication skill and an understanding of financial modeling.
