Position- OPEN TO REMOTE WORK WITHIN THE USA The Enterprise Architect will provide architectural direction for the evolving technology stack of systems at Advance Auto Parts Roles and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business leaders to develop business strategies mapped to key performance metrics that enable business objectives.Translate the business strategy and technology objectives into an Enterprise architectural roadmaps at the product portfolio level.Analyze and evaluate emerging technology trends to determine impact on the business outcomes and translate into technology roadmaps, reference architectures and reference implementations.Cost/Benefit modelling and creating business cases for adopting target architectures an integration patternsDefine and drive architecture and design runways across the enterprise domains to facilitate implementation of technical solutions.Partner with technology and business leaders as well as other architects to understand interdependencies and align architectural initiatives across the enterprise.Continue to evolve the Enterprise Architecture program by partnering with other Enterprise architects, domain, platform and solution architects.Develop best practices, standards and patterns to enable technology selection, build vs buy decisions and their adoption across the enterpriseParticipate in the Architecture Review Board to evaluate and approve architecture deliverables that align with the strategic goals.Mentor, coach and strengthen the technical expertise in the engineering and architecture practice. Qualifications TechnicalCandidates should have a broad technical knowledge of APIs, messaging/integration, cloud engineering, front end solutions, data architectures, retail architectures and back-office financial and HR systems.5+ years as a leader with hands-on architecture experience in architecting, designing and building performant, resilient, high throughput and secure enterprise grade solutions.7+ years of experience with architectural patterns, microservices, event driven platforms, Cloud platforms and integration patterns.Experience with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF, Lean IX, ArchiMate or ZachmanExperience driving architectural solutions in an agile environment.Experience in the Retail business domain Problem Solving Analytical SkillsStrategic problem solving and strong solutions designing skills.Strategic thought process, strong business acumen to influence business leadershipAbstract thinking skills, comfort level with concepts of application, data and technology architectures. Ability to switch between conceptual, logical and physical views.Ability to build and validate hypotheses as well as prototype solutions or evaluate new technologies.Ability to consider multiple options, sources, perspectives and evaluate their importance, relevance and validity. Communication SkillsBuild and grow strong relationships with business leaders, technical leaders, product owners, enterprise architects and other stakeholders.Strong written and verbal skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels the organization.Strong ability to evangelize strategy and best practices across the organization. EducationBachelor's or Master's Degree in the STEM discipline and 10+ years of progressive technology experience.Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like Lean IX, TOGAF, ArchiMate, etc.
