Project Manager, Café [Retail Experiences Marketing]

Capital One is seeking a talented Principal Associate, Marketing Process Manager to join our Local Marketing team supporting the Retail Experience Marketing pod. This position is part of the Retail Experiences & Awareness organization that is contributing to the journey to Change Banking for Good and amplify our Café experiences across our network.

The Principal Associate, Marketing Process Manager will be responsible for supporting and executing campaigns and strategies to drive awareness, word of mouth excitement and foot traffic to the Cafés and Café experiences. The team plans, develops and executes marketing strategies for new prospects as well as existing customers, whether they choose to interact in our local Café or digitally. We always think customer-first and aim to help customers bank better and simplify their lives. Our challenge is to stand out in a sea of financial distrust, by delivering a world class experience through the entire customer lifecycle. This role makes a direct impact towards this goal.

The successful candidate will evangelize customer-centric, well-managed best practices by supporting, managing and continually optimizing processes across the team and all team projects. They are also excited to be a part of the marketing industry and passionate about positive consumer experiences. S/he will be competitive and want to win the hearts and minds of consumers. They will not be afraid to champion an 'out of the box' idea but will have a healthy dose of pragmatism.

Ideal candidate possess the following skills:
  • Detail-orientated with strong project management and prioritization skills, managing multiple projects, timelines, stakeholders, and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in well-managed processes and procedures
  • Execution experience with marketing campaigns
  • Agile methodologies and Design Thinking approaches to solving consumer problems
  • Able to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation
  • Experience with budget management
  • Be able to lead creative on straightforward projects
  • Demonate process leadership on multi-team initiatives
  • Self-driven, responsible, and able to take ownership on projects
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to prioritize own workload and meet deadlines
  • Able to partner effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 years of process management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience with project management, marketing or event planning
  • At least 1 year of experience identifying and implementing solutions for improving team delivery processes
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting marketing campaign execution


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to/experience in developing, scheduling, and maintaining campaigns against timelines
  • Experience with agile working models
  • Understanding of project management processes including requirements development and management, scope definition and management, communication management, budget management and reporting, resource management, risk identification and management
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience with Smartsheet, MS Office, Google Suite and other related project management and common communications tools.
  • Experience managing multiple projects
