Overview: The HVAC mechanic position is located within the park maintenance division. Position repsonsibilities include installations, monitoring and system construction. In addition, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation, chiller systems, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC AC and R) systems throughout the Park. Must be responsive to service calls and perform related work as required. How You'll Make A Difference: Installs, monitors, maintains, repairs and retrofits HVAC&R equipment and systems throughout the Park. Performs preventative maintenance for refrigeration units and HVAC&R systems: cahnges belts, bearings, greasing, etc. Troubleshoots and makes repairs to HVAC&R systems such as direct expansion units, chilled water units, 1-25 tens, electrical, gas units and exhaust/hood systems. Troubleshoots and services problems and equipment failures. Responds to service calls for refrigeration units such as walk-in freezers, coolers, ice machines, soft service machines, prep coolers, display cases, etc. Conducts winterization and startup. Flush outdoor drink systems, restarts all equipment and check buildings for problems with equipment related systems before park opening. Flush, drain, and add necessary chemicals, etc. Maintains and operates Fire Effects systems. Conduct daily safety operational checks and checklists, maintain wage logs, inspect burner assemblies and gas valves. Conducts minor repairs as needed, coordinate with rides maintenance to start and stop effects; burn off effects adhering to manufacturer and park standards. Maintains park's chiller plant, boiler systems, food service equipment, etc. Operates vacuum pump, recovery unit, forklift, drills, JLG man lift, etc. Uses meters, gauges, shop tools, electrician tools, diagnostic equipment, volt meters, analyzers, etc. Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies. Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. We're Looking For: Must be at least 18 years of age or older 2-4 years of related experience Must maintain required control system operations certifications. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Driver's License
