What you do: The Human Resources Generalist is the key human resources point person for Capital Digestive Care and provides HR support to managers and employees of practices and centers. This position advises practice and center management on various human resources issues and consults with the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner when necessary. This position requires a high degree of organization, prioritization, professional communications, and attention to detail. Understanding the PE and practice structure, the individual must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, as well as state and federal employment laws. What you will be working on: Provide daily support and guidance to Capital Digestive Care managers and employees on HR policy interpretation, performance management, and employee relations. Maintain a positive, productive working relationship with assigned Practice Managers and Center Administrators and monitor day-to-day implementation of all areas of human resources. Work closely with the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner, supporting employee relations issues including conducting basic investigations and counsel management on outcomes and approach on resolution. Provide support related to onboarding and offboarding of employees and providers, including initial onboarding activities, new hire and benefits orientation, and conducting exit interviews. Track and maintain exit survey results and turnover. Reviews performance evaluations to ensure completion, fairness, consistency and provides feedback to managers. Tracks performance evaluations to ensure completion. Responsible for participating in the development of policies and creation and revision of Employee Handbooks. Performs data collection, reporting and supports various compliance requirements as determined by HR leadership. Track and report on metrics as determined by HR and Market leadership. Provide practices and centers with recruitment support, expertise and guidance on any areas related to the recruitment process. Assist centers with requests for recruitment advertising by posting online and print ads as needed. Ensure compliance with labor and employment regulatory posters/postings/communications. Assist HR leadership with various research projects and/or special projects. Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Follows internal established processes and procedures and suggests improvements to processes when needed. Provides backup support to other HR team members. Conduct new hire orientation and other required new hire and annual training for new PE employees. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Maintain employee personnel, payroll and recruiting files. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Assist VP, Human Resources and Senior Manager, HR Business Partner with various research projects and/or special projects. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Ability to analyze data and use report-writing software Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage, plan, prioritize work with a high-level of attention to detail Must be a team player and be willing to assist other team members when needed HR certification preferred (ie PHR/SPHR) What you know: To be successful in this role you will have the following experience or knowledge: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of human resources experience Proven employee relations experience and guidance, with an ability to manage delicate situations with fairness and appropriate outcomes.
