Join us at Guidehouse.Responsibilities:ResponsibilitiesThe DoD Financial Management/Audit Remediation Senior Consultant helps clients optimize all elements of their finance organization, including operating model design, sustainable cost reduction, financial planning and analysis, management reporting, financial systems architecture, and full-scale finance transformation.Support audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation (eg, narratives and flow charts), and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findingsProvide targeted area support based on Component (eg, performing root cause analysis for journal vouchers and FBWT variances, conducting PP&E audit remediation, business process redesign using manual, etc.)Create and deliver client work products to workstream lead or team lead with minimal rework required, in accordance with project plansApplies federal accounting, financial management, and audit knowledge/expertise when assisting with development of solutions and providing recommendations to clientQualifications:ClearanceSecretMinimum Education/ CertificationBachelor's degree in accounting or another related field from an accredited college or university.Professional ExperienceShall possess a minimum of five (5) years' experience in supporting financial management, change management, strategic communications, business process reengineering, data analytics, or financial management systems implementation initiatives, including three years' experience managing projects.Qualifications - DesiredDemonstrates experience with and knowledge of federal accounting and auditing standards and guidance in relation to:Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E)Internal controlsFederal financial statement auditingFinancial reportingFinancial business process reengineeringDemonstrates abilities and success with analyzing detailed finance and accounting processes to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities, facilitating audit requests, and planning and performing tests of controls and balances (substantive testing).Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm services; preparing concise, accurate work products that add value to the client.Demonstrates abilities to create and contribute to a positive team environment by monitoring workloads of the team, while meeting client expectations; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.Additional Requirements:The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.Disclaimer:About GuidehouseGuidehouse is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
