Job OverviewAAPA is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to strategize and manage marketing campaigns, to support strategic objectives, and to foster member engagement while advancing AAPA's brand. Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role will work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to meet operational and client goals. The ability to balance multiple projects and priorities while functioning with a high-level of independence is critical. A keen understanding of data driven metrics and analysis is a must. This position enjoys a flexible hybrid work arrangement with consistent in-person days in AAPA's Alexandria, VA offices.Our ideal candidate is a collaborative teammate with a sense of humor, has 6+ years of experience in marketing, a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or similar, and is experienced with the following software/tools:Eloqua marketing automation platform, or other marketing automation platformGoogle Analytics and Google Data Studio; Tealium experience a plusMS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPointBasecamp or other project management platformPaid media (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn)Direct Mail and print collateral managementResponsibilities for Marketing ManagerDevelop strategic campaign plans and execute the various efforts associated with each plan. This includes coordinating tactics across a variety of channels and audience segments, evaluating the results of multiple marketing campaigns all in support of AAPA's strategic and annual operating plan.Follow AAPA processes and procedures to evaluate work orders, manage client meetings, identify unique and new opportunities (promotions/partnerships/media) to provide enhanced plans.Understand customer journeys through membership cycles. Lead Generation experience a plus.Partner with creative teams, web team, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and partners.Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right channels for the project.Analyze reporting metrics and conversions to understand performance and improve future projects.Effectively manage budgets for campaigns.Qualifications for Marketing Manager6+ years relevant marketing experience; Association/non-profit experience preferred.Experience building complex marketing campaigns that include digital and direct response marketing, executing and reporting on campaigns. Adjusting and re-evaluating programs based on results is key.Robust project management skills with a keen eye for details.Strong problem-solving ability, including critical and metrics-driven thinking.Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.Experience or interest in audience segmentation and targeting; association management software experience desired.The American Academy of PAs is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers all qualified applicants without regard to color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability and any other classification protected by law.Due to considerations regarding COVID-19, AAPA has been operating remotely since March 2020 and plans to continue to have staff telework through the end of September, 2021.
