Lakewood is in need of a Talent Management Assistant.The TMA provides support to the Director of Talent Management for all TM functions, including but not limited to: payroll closing, team member benefits, team member relations, team member events, annual open enrollment process, organizing and maintaining all personnel files, ensuring compliance for all personnel file requirements, processing applications, pre-screening of all new hires, and completion of all required paperwork for new hires.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Greets all persons entering the TM office in a friendly manner and offers assistanceHandles general incoming phone calls directed to the Talent Management officeProvides excellent customer service to all team members, management team, LifeSpire of VA, residents, visitors, and all other persons interacting with the TM officeManages the filing for the TM office, including applications, payroll documentation, and all documents that must be kept in personnel filesAssists team members with payroll and benefits questions and assists with the completion of forms as neededCompletes pre-employment reference checks for all new hiresCompletes employment and wage verifications for current and former team membersCoordinates and tracks all pre-employment screenings for new hires, including references, pre-employment, drug screens, PPDs, criminal background checks, and licensure verificationMaintains all personnel files in accordance with policyMaintains tracking logsAssists with the facility payroll as needed using UKGSupports the Director by ensuring that the Payroll Closing Summary is submitted to corporate payroll administrator in a timely fashion on all payroll closing datesIssues/replaces team member name badges using Identicard/Premisys databaseAssists team members with insurance plan enrollments and qualifying event changesAssists staff with retirement plan enrollments and withdrawalsApproves and submits all invoices pertaining to TM expensesCoordinates paperwork for random drug screens and tracks completion of random drug screens within assigned time periodMaintains, verifies, and communicates to team members about their licensureCompletes all training requirements in a timely fashion, including Relias lessons, Annual Inservice participation, and other assigned meetings and inservicesActively participates in the annual open enrollment process, attending all meetings, assisting team members with paperwork, and tracking completion by all eligible team membersAssists with completion and distribution of team member newsletterMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant fieldPrevious experience in Human Resources, Payroll, and/or BenefitsPositive attitude with strong focus on customer serviceBe an enthusiastic team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills.Strong computer skills. Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher and Excel).Excellent attention to detail along with organization and confidentiality. Ability to be both efficient and accurate.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Effective time management and prioritizing.
