SEA CORPLocation: Patuxent River, MDReq ID: req93Employee Status: Full TimeSenior Simulations EngineerUndersea, on the surface, or in the air, SEACORP leverages our software and engineering expertise to deliver cutting edge warfare systems.We are searching for an experienced Senior Simulations Engineer at our Dahlgren, VA location.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:SEACORP is searching for a number of Simulation Engineers to support work on a variety of combat systems-based projects. Engineers associated with Simulations conduct and coordinate individual projects., including leading development activities with large scale, enterprise-level combat system wrap-around simulations.Combat systems refers to: combat systems design/engineering, combat system computer program development, combat system certification, combat system simulation engineering or combat system simulation computer program development.Specific Navy Combat Systems include: AEGIS, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Fast Frigate (FF), DDG-1000, Coast Guard, and Integrated Combat System (ICS). This includes the systems' associated sensors, command and control systems, weapons, navigation and communications interfaces.SENIOR SIMULATION SYSTEM ENGINEERConducts detailed, complex system engineering activities associated with enterprise level combat system wrap around simulations, including performing functional and system level requirements analysis, requirements generation and technical community reviews associated with simulations. Performs test planning, test results analysis, Verification and Validation to support simulation accreditation, and job estimation activities.Lead: Ten (10) years general combat system experience as defined above. Eight(8) years specific experience.Senior: Eight (8) years general combat system engineering experience as defined above. Six (6) years specific experience.LEAD SENIOR SIMULATION SOFTWARE ENGINEERDesigns, develops and maintains complex, real time combat system wrap around simulations, including C++ software development and maintenance, and software integration testing. Establishes and maintains software development schedules and monitors the technical progress of computer program module development toward these schedules. Utilizes computer program development tracking tools to capture all new development requirements, tracks computer program defects, accurately reflects current implementation status of each item, and with job estimation activities.Ten (10) years general combat system experience as defined above. Eight (8) years specific experience.FRAMEWORK SIMULATION SOFTWARE ENGINEERDesigns, develops and maintains complex, distributed simulation frameworks used to build simulations for real time combat system wrap around simulations. Utilizes C++ software development and maintenance. Conducts Framework testing and performance characterization, enterprise level source control, Integrated Development Environment and uses build environment tools.Two (2) years general combat system experience as described above. Five (5) years specific experience.SENIOR SIMULATION TEST ENGINEERTests enterprise level complex, real time combat system wrap around simulations in combat and weapon system laboratories. Establishes and maintains test development schedules and monitors the technical progress of computer program testing activities toward these schedules. Estimates and plans test activities, designs tests, conducting tests, analyzes and documents test results for combat system wrap around simulations. Additionally, traces tests to requirements, provides test artifacts to support simulation accreditation activities, and performs job estimation activities.Six (6) years general combat system experience as defined above. Six (6) years specific experience.Travel:5%Work Environment & Physical Demands:Office & Computer Laboratories - This positions requires the following physical activities: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and looking at computer screens. Infrequent lifting ofEligibility Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in engineering, computer/software engineering or computer science.Experience: As outlined in the description.
