Senior Security Content Engineer
DescriptionYour Role:Tenable is looking for a Senior Security Content Engineer to join our development team. The Sr. Security Content Engineer will lead initiatives that communicate Cyber Exposure narratives to customers through dashboards and reports across Tenable products, including Tenable.io and Tenable.sc. The Senior Security Content Engineer will lead projects related to information assurance narratives, such as PCI, CMMC, and others. The content delivered will focus on compliance, risk monitoring, and the deployment of Tenable's products to meet organizational and regulatory standards.Your Opportunity:Create dashboards, reports, and other related content for template library accessed by customers using Tenable.io or Tenable.scProvide direction for scan requirements and data collection activities in lab environments and research sites.Participate in community forums threads on dashboard/report issues.Mentor team members in content development, ie blog posts, dashboard templates, technical guides, and other content as needed.Provide input for the development of product features and define requirements as needed.Participate in the research and development of technical papers, discussion posts, and blog posts on topical applications of Tenable products.What you'll need:Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience with information security operations5+ years of experience in information security operations or cyber risk management.Expert knowledge of system configurations with Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Linux, and other similar systems.Detailed knowledge of service configurations such as email and database servers is critical.Knowledge of large-scale deployment and management of operating systems, patch management, or configuration change management solutions.Working knowledge of scripting languages, practical experience with any of the following - Python, Ruby, Perl, or PowerShellStrong working knowledge of network security and threat detection systems such as (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.)Strong working knowledge of network technologies and topology design principles.Knowledge of risk-based analysis using qualitative and quantitative analysis.And Ideally:Industry certifications in the areas of Information Security/Systems a plus (SANS, (ISC)2, CompTia, OS Vendors)Strong and direct experience using vulnerability scanning technologies (such as Nessus or Nessus Network Monitor)If you've reached this point in the job description and feel you're still not sure if you should apply Just do it!
