SEA CORPLocation: Patuxent River, MDReq ID: req85Employee Status: Full TimeSenior Software EngineerUndersea, on the surface, or in the air, SEACORP leverages our software and engineering expertise to deliver cutting edge warfare systems.We are searching for an experienced Senior Software Engineer at our Dahlgren, VA location.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:SEACORP is searching for a number of Senior-level Software Engineers to support work on a variety of Navy systems-based projects. Specific focus on combat systems' simulations, design/engineering, program/system level development and certification. Software Engineers perform analysis, design, development, test and maintenance of software and database models.The Senior Software Engineer works to design, develop and maintain complex software, database models and real-time M&S computer programs. The Senior Software Engineer must establish and maintain software development schedules and monitor the technical progress of computer program modules toward these schedules. The Senior Software Engineer utilizes computer program development tracking tools that capture all new development requirements, tracks computer program defects, and accurately reflects current implementation status of each item.We are seeking qualified individuals who have 10 or more years of broad software engineering experience, as well as 4 or more years of specific Navy Program/Systems experience. All candidates must have or be able to secure at time of hire the appropriate level of US security clearance.Technical Requirements:Experience and/or ability to code in the following: in C, C++, C#, JAVA, Simu-Link, Python, PERL, FORTRAN, CMS2, Pascal, Pro*CDeveloping software in a multi-threaded/multi-process environment;Developing software to communicate with other hardware using TCP/IP, UDP, and serial communications;Object Oriented software design concepts;GNAT Ada compiler; VxWorks; Tornado;Software integration testing;Experience with build environment tools;Experience with Unix/Linux and MS Windows OS;Experience with Oracle, SQL, MS Access databases;Methods/Practices Requirements:Agile methodology: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)Structured programming methods, Program Design Language (PDLs)Enterprise- level source control, Integrated Development EnvironmentModular software designNavy Software Safety and industry best programming practicesIndependent Verification and Validation (IV&V)Information Assurance/Cyber Security requirements (DOD/DON Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF))Navy Program/Systems Requirements:Combat system integration and system architectureTomahawk Weapon System (TWS)/Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS)Electronic Warfare SystemsNavy Command and Control (C2) systemsFire Control systemsCommand, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Systems (C4I)Travel:5%Work Environment & Physical Demands:Office & Computer Laboratories - This positions requires the following physical activities: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and looking at computer screens.
