Job Summary:Prepare clear, concise, accurate and on time Functional and Technical bid proposals for various Commercial Interior Turn Key Construction, Asphalt Paving, Concrete, Utility Water Line and Tenant Fit-Out projects. For awarded projects, coordinate various aspects of the projects such as Submittals, Purchasing, Coordination with Vendors and Subcontractors and monitoring project schedules.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Prepare RFI's and present to General Manager.Review blueprints, design documents, drawings, and other bid specifications.Perform quantity take-offs using On-Screen software.Prepare Functional and Technical Bid Proposals.For each winning project, coordinate a take-off meeting and review main aspects of the project with GM/Project Manager prior to starting the project.Create the contract, subcontract agreement, contract, budget sheets, and any other documents necessary to start the project. ALL documents must be reviewed and approved by GM prior to the start of the project and must be presented during the kick-off meeting.Vendor and/or Subcontractor selection requires getting at least 3 different pricing and selecting the best price for the value. You must pre-qualify the selected Subcontractors and/or Vendors.Conduct weekly meetings with the GM to go over proposals, bids and upcoming projects.SKILLS & ABILITIES:Knowledge of construction processes.Must have strong organization, communication, and time management skills.Make sound decisions based on objectives, risk implications, and costs.Must be able to prepare technical proposals.Computer Skills:Microsoft Office Suite, with high level of proficiency in Excel and Word.Adobe productsOn Screen Take-offsEducation: Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required)Experience: 4-year degree in an accredited Construction related curriculum or an equivalence of 2 years work experience.For more information and consideration contact David at 301-343-3781.
