Job Summary/Company: Our client, a local start-up, is searching for a self-motivated and diligent Operations Manager to support daily office production functions. This person will oversee the office's mailing facility and work as the "problem-solver in chief" to ensure that production goals are met.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is required for this position. This position will sit 100% on site.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee DC office and mailing facility.
  • Maintain inventory and monitor supply levels.
  • Work with suppliers to acquire needed supplies at the best possible rates.
  • Work with maintenance contractors to ensure mailing equipment is in good working order at all times.
  • Hire, train, & manage mailing and support staff.
  • Schedule staff & mailings & ensure that deadlines & quality assurance standards are met.
  • Assist directly in mailing & support operations as needed.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ year of work experience in an office or manufacturing environment
  • 1+ Year of Experience in a Managerial Role
  • Previous experience in statistical or accounting functions highly desirable
  • Previous start-up environment experience preferred
  • Passion for history/literature
  • Strong organizational & analytical skills
  • A keen eye for detail & laser-like focus
  • Strong technical skills & the ability to understand & troubleshoot complex machines
  • Excellent writing skills and impeccable spelling & grammar
