The Role

Small Business Integrated Marketing is a passionate, entrepreneurial team of strategists focused on communicating the value of Capital One Business and its products to our small business customers. We are seeking an innovative, insights-driven Integrated Marketing Strategy Manager to accelerate cross-channel strategies and deliver breakthrough marketing activations across the funnel. This person will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the broader marketing team, client development, customer management, and other stakeholders to activate marketing in unique and memorable ways for our small business target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and lead an omni-channel marketing agenda with a focus on growth and innovation across demand generation and customer marketing.
  • Develop grounded hypotheses based on insights, performance results, and best practices to inform creative strategy learning plans for pre- and post-acquisitions marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with integrated marketing team members and extended partners to build and deliver on end-to-end marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Accelerate cross-channel marketing by leading breakthrough channel creative positioning strategies that champion our brand and products with our customers while driving business outcomes.
  • Partner with internal creative teams and creative agencies to conduct channel creative strategy exploratories to test and learn in the market.
  • Represent Integrated Marketing Strategy more broadly with key partners in a highly matrixed environment.


Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • Proven experience developing and executing large-scale integrated marketing campaigns across a range of channels, e.g., paid digital, email, direct mail, web, etc.
  • Well-versed in marketing performance metrics, with the ability to draw meaningful insights and actionable implications from data to optimize strategies and creative.
  • Passion for customer experience and understanding the needs and behaviors that influence customer journeys through the marketing and sales funnels.
  • General manager mindset with strong strategic, analytical, and creative capabilities to generate and build the case for transformative marketing ideas that drive forward business objectives.
  • Problem solver who excels in dynamic environments and thrives with whitespace - pushes to test hypotheses and stand up best practices that don't exist today.
  • Exhibit a high level of initiative and ownership, while simultaneously balancing a culture centered on collaboration and prioritization across diverse functional groups.
  • Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing, presentation, and storytelling abilities.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years experience in brand strategy on the agency or client side, with experience managing multiple channels
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, executing and analyzing marketing programs
  • At least 5 years experience in managing creative processes, partnering with creative teams and developing marketing materials
  • At least 2 years of B2B marketing experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related business management vector.
  • 5+ years of integrated marketing experience in a technology-forward culture in the financial services industry or for a large organization.
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience.
  • Prior people leadership experience managing direct reports.
