LS Technologies is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting to support our Corporate Finance Team. This position is based in Fairfax, VA.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain and expand Financial, Planning & Analysis capabilities and deliver financial reporting to managementProvide financial planning and analysis support to include monthly reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc requestsCoordinate and prepare budgets and financial forecast, institute and maintain other planning and control procedures including purchase authorizationsLead and administer the annual corporate budgeting processDevelop, analyze, and interpret accounting information to review profitability and performance against targetsReview and maintain the quality of monthly project status reportsSupport the development estimates at completion (EAC) and estimates to completion (ETC)Support our internal Program Management Organization (PMO) with financial data requirementsAnalyze profit risks and opportunities to advise managementMeet with operations to assess actual performance and collect and summarize feedbackMaintain forecasts and develop models to track financial performancePublish and track key performance metrics and ratiosAssist with process development to drive automation, standardization, and simplification across the accounting and finance teamSupport accounting operations particularly in Project Accounting; Assist with contract/project setup and closeout proceduresSupport both internal and external Audit requirementsDocument and establish finance and accounting policy and proceduresRequired SkillsEducation and Experience10+ years of progressive accounting/financial experience with a government contractorSolid understanding of government contract accounting, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Auditing standardsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related filed is required; CPA or MBA is highly desirableHighly proficient with Deltek Costpoint is requiredExperience with Business Intelligence in Costpoint is a plusExperience working with automated budgeting or forecasting system or software is highly desirableOther CompetenciesExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent time management skillsDemonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritiesPossesses strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work as a team member or as an individual contributorExcellent relationship-building skillsMust have strong customer service orientation; be able to maintain a professional demeanor, and work under pressure to handle critical issues in timely mannerLS Technologies, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
