Passion, innovation, and diversity are all key components to advancing our Mission and we encourage you to apply.YOUR POSITION WITH TNCThe Sr. Finance Project Manager leads enterprise-wide, Finance driven projects which can range in scale from large and highly complex to smaller more focused initiatives. This is a matrixed position that will reside with the IT Project Management Office but report to and support Finance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Sr. Finance Project Manager manages and leads medium/large scale, highly complex business-critical projects or multiple complex projects that are aligned with TNC's Operational Excellence Initiative. This initiative is expected to run for approximately three years. This role establishes project goals and success factors, develops project plans, budgets and schedules with input and buy-in from key stakeholders and team members with minimal direction. They lead the project teams to successfully achieve those goals in the most cost-effective and time-saving manner possible. Throughout the project lifecycle, they monitor and measure project progress, conduct corrective action as necessary, communicate project status information to all stakeholders, perform risk management, resolve issues and control project scope and quality. The Senior Project Manager ensures coordination between multiple TNC business units (such as Legal, HR etc.) the Finance department, consultants, vendors and volunteers. The Senior Project Manager obtains go/no-go decisions at all project decision points from the Steering Committee(s) and identifies and obtains approval for all project deliverables from the appropriate teams. They lead Finance projects that may require a cross-organizational, cross-functional project team as well as application of the appropriate methodologies and processes and ensure all TNC standards and policies are met. They work with senior management to develop and enhance strategies, methodologies, processes and standards, create templates, and leverages the appropriate project management tools. They research and incorporate industry best practices as appropriate for Finance. May manage a multidisciplinary team of professional and support staff.RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPEDevelop and deliver a project management program encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.Set realistic and practical goals for the project and develop appropriate strategies for achieving these goals.Collaborate effectively and/or manages internal groups and outside consultants as needed.Defines and implements change management initiatives as part of program/project execution.Provide coaching and guidance to the team members about every aspect of the project so that the team members can understand their tasks fully and act on them efficiently.Establish appropriate program/project level governance and lead the meetings to inform stakeholders and obtain decisions on critical project issues.Effectively manage large, complex budgets.Perform proactive issue and risk management.Manage RFP process, including vendor selection, development of contractual documentation and oversight of vendor performance.Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management.Must gain cooperation from individuals or groups over whom there is no direct authority in order to accomplish program goals.Ability to work effectively across multiple complex, strategic projects simultaneously.Direct or participate in negotiations for complex, high profile or sensitive agreements.Well versed in industry best practices, and an ability to adapt them to TNC's organization and culture.Maintains confidentiality of frequently sensitive information.Ability to work under stress during peak workload periods.Willing to travel and work long hours and weekends.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in business, finance, information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.6 years or more of experience in managing business-led projects.Experience effectively communicating via presentations, direct communications and documentation.Experience using project management techniques and tools including office tools such as the Microsoft Office suite/Project and SmartSheet.Experience managing a project team and the schedule and financial aspects of large highly complex projects.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSMulti-lingual skills and multi-cultural cross-cultural experience appreciated.Experience in leading effective teams.Finance background or experience running Finance programs/projects.Supervisory skills a plus.Current PMP Certification strongly preferred.Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Smartsheet.Demonstrated ability to manage highly complex, large scale projects or multiple medium scale projects in a large, decentralized organization.Experience in a global organization.Critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
