If so, the VMware Modern Applications Business may be the perfect place for you!We are looking for a talented Finance Sr Manager to work with the Services and Support function within the Modern Applications Platform Business Unit (MAPBU). This challenging and exciting role will give you the opportunity to work supporting the Application Services, revenue and bookings analysis for Tanzu Services and the Tanzu Support organization. The scope covers a portion of the P&L for Tanzu Services (total revenue and a segment of the investment), strong analytics for revenue modeling and forecasting as well as Services bookings. You will gain a deep understanding of a thriving subscription business.Key Responsibilities:Quarterly forecasting and close of financials against budget. Accountable for forecast accuracy. Provide insights into business performance through QBR materials and scorecard. The Sr Manager will be responsible for accurate financials for App Services and Federal segments within Services and for the entirety of the Support organization for Tanzu.Annual planning and budgeting. Manage the annual planning cycle (and mid-year replan) in pro-active alignment and interlock with the rest of Tanzu. The Sr Manager will be responsible to plann for App Services and Federal segments within Services and for the entirety of the Support organization for Tanzu.Bookings & Revenue reporting. Create consolidated bookings reporting across the various lines of business in and geos for Services. Provide insights into business performance. Proactively identify risks and upsides. Actively manage the revenue forecasting process, working closely with the Sr Analysts and delivery leads.Bookings-to-Revenue modeling and forecasting. Maintain and enhance the Services book-to-rev model. This implies understanding installed capacity, backlog, bookings plan resulting in complex financial modeling tops down and bottoms up.Business Partnership. Work closely togetherOngoing process and reporting improvements to drive efficiencies and scale including the use of Power BI, Tableau and other high efficiency collaboration tools. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and valuable insight to report and to manage the businessAd-hoc analysis and strategy project support.Qualifications and Education Requirements:Experience & Education:10 years of experience in financial planning, business analysis and strategy - preferably in tech industry covering cloud services/subscription businessBachelor's Degree in Finance or Business, MBA or other advanced degrees are a plusBackground in corporate finance, corporate FP&A, business unit FP&A, sales finance a plusPeople management:Proven ability to develop a team culture that fosters learning, teamwork, work-life-balance and funManagement:Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundariesSelf-starter and highly proactive in reaching out to business units and functional organizationsStrong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentAbility to take charge of complex projects with minimal direction and develop new strategies and new ways of approaching business challenges independentlyHigh energy and motivationUnquestionable integrityInfluencing and collaboration:Strong and confident presence.
