Heavy Equipment Operator
Operates specified heavy equipment to remove earth as needed to create excavations. Coordinates with supervisor, and other crew members to accomplish collective goals related to the excavation and grading of earthworks and the installation of underground utilities. Ability to communicate effectively with crew members. Physical Requirements: Ability to operate a motor equipment (steering and controls operation). Vision and hearing sufficient to meet requirements (must be able to see immediate operations area and hear members of crew. Ability to sit for up to 9 hours a day and stand for short periods. Ability to climb ladder to operator's position. Ability to assist in maintenance of equipment. Ability to carry light loads (up to 30 lbs) as needed for short periods.
