Also, if you are an experienced General Manager looking to take the next step in your career, we also want to hear from you.POSITION SUMMARYThe Service & Operations manager actively participates in service and oversees all front-of-house operations, provides support to the General Managers, and serves as the front-of-house leader for the region and company. This individual oversees the hiring of all service staff while ensuring proper training on all aspects of our company culture and service responsibilities. Also, this role develops practices and works alongside the restaurant management teams to drive initiatives to drive top line sales while controlling expenses and COGS to protect bottom line margins.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum 3 years experience as a general manager or equivalent relevant experienceProven leadership skills and commitment to excellenceUnparalleled passion for hospitality, food, wine, and musicAbility to successfully multitask, delegate, and manage several projects at onceAbility to respectfully mentor, train, develop, and hold teams accountable to expectationsMust be detail oriented, strong execution skillsProven financial and business acumen; analytical skills, and ability to meet and exceed set budgets. Specifics include but are not limited to reporting weekly on COGS, labor and prime costs at each unit, reviewing P&Ls monthly, and driving the restaurants to meet profitability standards consistently.Functional working knowledge of health department, ABRA and all other related regulationsExceptional teaching, communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbalStrong culinary and wine knowledgeMust be fluently literate in English including ability to read, write, and communicate, conduct business related mathematics and analyze data.Must have excellent computer and technological skills. Our company uses google drive, Heartland, Toast POS, 7shifts and a number of similar technologies to organize and streamline operations, being proficient and having the ability to learn new systems is a key capability for this position.Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying loads of up to 50 pounds, per business needAble and willing to work flexible scheduling including days, nights, weekends, and holidaysAble to travel and attend business-related meetings and trips up to 10 days at a time.RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral Management & FOH Service ResponsibilitiesReview and sign off on weekly FOH team schedules.Oversee recruiting and hiring of FOH management.Oversee the management of all systems: 7shifts, Toast or related POS, Heartland Payroll, etc. (Training will be provided to fill in any gaps.)Collaborate with the marketing director to address social media comments related to service issues.Manage pre-shift messaging and follow up on EOD notes as related to daily operationsDevelop staff sales incentives programs and communicate through all FOH managers and supervisorsField all service complaints: prepare a reply to the guest and send with a final sign off from the GMPractice a consistent survey of the facility to ensure the staff, artists, and guests have everything they need to have a positive experienceAssure all marketing materials are present in check presenters, on tables, slideshow and throughout the space and in line with national initiatives.Maintain a healthy working relationship between FOH and BOH and address any opportunities with operational departments in the weekly BEO / Management Meeting.Maintain recurring staff meetings to celebrate the staff and ensure good inter-departmental communication: employee of the month, new policies or changes, menu items, new hires, etc.Address ongoing facilities issues and maintenance needs.Manage pre-service meeting agendas: shift notes, F&B training, policies & procedures.Perform any and all other related functions, projects, initiatives as per business needUphold Schlow Restaurant Group's service standards and company cultureAbout UsSchlow Restaurant Group has restaurants spanning the country with new concepts on the horizon.
