Operates a commercial dump truck in support of highway construction operations including: hauling aggregate materials; hauling hot-mix asphalt to paving sites; dumping into an asphalt paver; being loaded by a asphalt cold planer/milling machine; dumping safely at company facilities. Ability to communicate with crew members. Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : Familiarity with highway work zone operations. Familiarity with asphalt paving operations. Ability to operate a manual transmission dump truck. Physical Requirements: Ability to operate a commercial motor vehicle. Vision and hearing sufficient to meet requirements (must be able to see immediate operations area and hear members of crew. Ability to sit for up to 9 hours a day and stand for short periods. Ability to climb ladder to operator's position. Ability to assist in maintenance of vehicle/ pre-trip inspections. Ability to carry light loads (up to 20 lbs) as needed for short periods.
