Headquartered in Virginia with offices all over the US, we specialize in the development of strategy, marketing and sales enablement for our clients. The job We're looking for a Marketing Content Manager to help our team produce great B2B and B2G content for our clients. The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented individual with excellent time management and communication skills and the ability to manage a high volume of projects and resources efficiently and effectively. The ideal Marketing Content Manager candidate is a highly-organized, self-motivated and collaborative multi-tasker who is very comfortable with technical concepts. This position manages the creation of content by content providers-from project kickoff through the rounds of review and final approval stages-and is responsible for producing high-quality marketing and sales enablement materials. The Marketing Content Manager provides detailed direction to content providers and ensures all content is delivered on schedule, within budget and of the highest quality. Responsibilities Content management Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, work with tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility are a must Direct marketing content creation, write and develop content, copyedit and proofread Assess sales enablement and marketing content to ensure it aligns to the creative brief and client brand standards Provide directional feedback to content providers, such as marketing communications writers, designers and copy editors Manage content review and approval stages Evaluate written content for B2B or B2G markets Develop timelines for all assigned projects and lead the day-to-day management, including coordinating approvals with key stakeholders Talent management Oversee full-time and freelance content providers on assigned jobs, set priorities and assess their performance Responsible for engaging, managing and directing content providers in the development of sales enablement and marketing assets Drive and manage content providers to hit deadlines, deliver original and quality work and meet all job requirements Quality assurance Review all content for accuracy against the request, including spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar and consistency Ensure quality and client brand standards are met Ensure content adheres to strategy platform, messaging, voice and tone Provide instructions and constructive feedback in a and timely fashion to content providers Constantly monitor and proactively report on progress of jobs to all stakeholders Ensure consistency up, down and across all assets and contribute to the evaluation of creative content Quality management Act as a liaison between GBR and content providers and drive efficiency Review incoming projects to ensure information is complete and can be implemented; follow up before proceeding if it is not Draft clear, concise job briefs that effectively direct content providers on assigned projects to deliver quality content aligned to stakeholder expectations Effectively manage conflicts with projects and resources in a collaborative manner Collaborate with functional leads and project managers on current and projected resource needs to enable seamless delivery Must have Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience), in Communications, Marketing or a related field 5+ years of B2B or B2G content management and writing experience Substantial experience writing and / or editing marketing materials (emails, blogs, datasheets) for B2B or B2G technology companies Familiarity with B2B or B2G marketing channels and sales motions Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite and Teams, Google Workspace and Adobe Acrobat Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong project management and organizational skills, plus the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and prioritize multiple tasks Strong desire for collaboration and the ability to influence and build consensus, working well both as part of a team and independently Highly organized professional, self-motivated and detail-oriented Knowledge of major style guides, such as AP Style and The Chicago Manual of Style Adapt quickly and offer creative solutions to business challenges; resourceful, flexible, energetic and open-minded Strong interpersonal skills with a high emotional IQ and a positive attitude Experience managing a team of freelance writers, designers and editors for B2B marketing and sales content, such as blogs, datasheets, email, social media and website copy Ability to evaluate marketing writing and give and receive constructive feedback Nice to have 3 to 5 years of proven B2B and B2G marketing project management experience as an employee or contractor for at least one technology company (internships included) Familiarity with the government technology audience Passion for learning new technologies, tools and platforms for project management, workflows and content creation Experience in an enterprise content strategy role and can add value at the strategic and tactical levels Familiar with Trello
