Interim Controller/CFO - Rockville, MD! About the Company and Opportunity: Our client is a long standing client who is located in Rockville, MD is a leader in the distribution industry and due to growth they are looking to hire a Interim Controller/CFO. The client is looking for someone who will come in strong, be a leader, and be hands on! The leadership team is dedicated to employee success and love to promote from within. Overview of the Interim CFO/Controller role: Directs and coordinates company financial planning and budget management functions. Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. Monitors and analyzes monthly operating results against budget. Oversees daily operations of the finance department. Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions. Oversees the HR and Accounting departments. Works with department managers and staff to develop 5-year and 10-year business plans for the company, goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. Directs financial audits and provides recommendations for procedural improvements. Provides financial statement reporting and analysis, cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Directs month end closings, financial reporting and coordination of audits. Preferred Qualifications for the Interim CFO/Controller: Master's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred 5-10 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position PNC Bank experience is a plus Advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, macros preferred CPA a plus
