Precision Solutions is seeking up to four Horizontal Drill Operators for a local underground construction company. Compensationstructure may include commissions and bonuses for individuals looking to maximize their potential and who possess a strong work ethic and maximize productivity.Job Duties:Operates Horizontal Directional Drill for installation of underground conduit and utilitiesInsures safety of public and other underground facilitiesPerforms all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipmentFollows specifications for the job and company policiesDrive equipment to job siteSet up and cleanup of work-site, including traffic and pedestrian controlReads utility locates and coordinates day lights where applicableWorks with crew to ensure any applicable permits and locates are complete and on siteCommunicates with locator and determines safest and most efficient bore path to drillSet equipment up including the drill, alarm, water tanks and grounding the machineDrill out following the predetermined drill path to the exit pitCommunicate with the locator to confirm the location of the drill headOperates construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to grade specifications Levels earth to final grade specifications when applicablePerforms proper maintenance by greasing, oiling, and minor repair work as necessaryLeads team in the field effectively and efficiently as needed and directed by the supervisor Oversee laborers and/or crew member's work and monitor time usagePerform maintenance as required, including winterizing equipmentCommunicates with Supervisors or Foremen dailyVehicles and equipment to be kept clean and securedMinimum Requirements, Qualifications and Experience:Minimum 5 years of horizontal directional drilling experiencePossess and maintain Valid Class A CDLPossess and maintain Clean driving recordWilling to work outdoors in all types of weather throughout entire year, including overtime as requiredStrong knowledge of underground utilitiesSelf-motivated, safety, quality and production mindedAbility to read and comprehend and follow all quality/safety policies and procedures
