Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking Systems Engineers in Dulles, VA, to support the Raptor program. Raptor is a center-of-excellence for ground software development. Raptor is developing innovative tools to aid operators with planning spacecraft maneuvers and supporting vehicle activities, as well as monitoring the progress and safety of the mission. We are also developing tools which provide the operator and key decision makers with enhanced situational awareness into the status of the mission.The systems engineer will work with other systems engineers to determine component level interactions and overall system design. In addition, the engineer will provide inputs into system and software architecture.Within an Agile Team, the engineer will: Define and decompose Features and Stories (as per Definition of Ready and Definition of Done) Ensure software design meets acceptance criteria and software architecture Identify the gaps/impacts/contact points between the user story/feature and the software architecture Ensure tests meet acceptance criteria Serve as the first line Point of Contact for system related questions from the developers Basic Qualifications: BS with 5+ years experience in Systems Engineering, Integration, Software, DevOps, Verification or similar technical field Leadership experience coordinating and working effectively across DevOps, Software, and Test teams Must be a US Citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance Preferred Qualifications: TS / SCI Prior experience with satellite ground software Prior experience with space vehicle simulators Prior experience with ground segment bus simulators Good Linux and Microsoft Windows system administrator skills Salary Range: 101200 - 151800 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
