Maple Heights Senior Living is a locally owned company providing care to our amazing Residents. We source our food from farm to table to provide creative and nutritious meals. As a Cook working for us, you are able to maintain a great work-life balance with no late nights and at least one 4-day weekend a month. We provide food service training and the ability to be surrounded by wonderful Residents and fellow caregivers. The Cook is responsible for preparing locally sources nutritious meals. As a Cook, you are responsible for providing appropriate meals based on dietary restrictions and needs while having the freedom to be creative with the food you prepare. The Cook would also make sure the kitchen, stock room, and dining room are kept clean. Job Qualifications: Able to communicate effectively with fellow Caregivers and Residents Must be of good character; considerate; tolerant of aged and disabled Residents Maintains enthusiastic attitude and maintains dining ambiance Must be clean and well groomed Must be able to communicate with Department head and kitchen staff and have willingness to help other Departments Self-Starter who is organized and utilizes time properly, requiring minimal supervision Must abide by established policies and procedures of the community Must abide by sanitization policies and keep work area clean Ability and willingness to learn quickly Must have documented TB Screening Encourages Residents to eat Duties and Responsibilities: Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of Assisted Living Has awareness and practices in accordance with State regulations Prepare alternate meals as required Ensure suitable meals are served to the appropriate Residents Plan community and individual Resident menus in conjunction with the menus prepared by a licensed Dietitian Ensure proper cleaning and storage of food, utensils, dishes and equipment according to Health Regulations Knows and follows Emergency Procedures, Elopement and all other procedures Must attend and complete all training #EMSLCMP
