The VP, Branch Services will be responsible for all direct member interaction functions of the credit union branch operations. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and practices that drive Northwest\u2019s branches to achieve sales and service results consistent with meeting member needs and exceeding expectations, and elevating our brand within the communities we serve. This role will lead individual member and business acquisition, retention, and relationship development across the branch locations. This leader works with all levels of the branch structure to model behaviors and actions that create a unified and persistent member-first focus across the branch network.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SVP, Retail regarding branch strategy and direction, goals, and priorities of the organization
  • Collaborate with other senior managers (VP, Retail Operations, AVP, Business Development, VP, Commercial, AVP Talent Development, etc.) to achieve mutual goals and objectives
  • Work directly with VP, Retail Operations on ensuring operational safety and soundness of overall branch operations functions and facilities
  • Lead strategic planning for all retail offices, including the development of annual business plans, which include future projections for business volumes, traffic patterns, staffing, workflows, etc.
  • Establish annual sales, service, deposit, and loan goals for all branch offices which correlate to the attainment of annual organizational goals and drives overall performance through continued coaching and direction
  • Coach branch employees at all levels on adoption of new products, technologies, and processes to gain maximum sales and service effectiveness
  • Lead and manage AVP, Area Branch Leaders to ensure they are successful in their roles; efficiently and effectively facilitating communication between assigned branches and coaching and developing their staff on a daily basis to achieve desired goals
  • Provide senior level guidance and support to the branches regarding member concerns and human resources issues
  • Reinforce the NWFCU Vision, Mission, and Why by serving as a culture champion and change agent, motivating employees to achieve higher standards and promoting a commitment to excellence in sales, service, knowledge, and learning
  • Conduct regular update and strategy meetings with SVP, Retail, peer management and leadership team
  • Possess knowledge of sales, financial, marketing, managerial and leadership principles with strong knowledge of operations practices, policies, products, and application regulations
  • Strong overall business acumen with an ability to understand the direction, priorities, and goals of the organization.
  • Act as a lead ambassador for Northwest through market and industry awareness, and building both personal and business relationships within the local communities we serve.

  • Build teamwork within the organization by portraying a positive attitude while promoting loyalty and the credit union philosophy
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor\u2019s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of Management/Supervisory experience in the financial services industry, specifically retail operations functions, and familiarity with and understanding of regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and motivate a diverse work force
  • Proven ability to establish and communicate measurable goals
  • Knowledge of retail and business financial services products and solutions, policies, and general procedures as well as federal, state, and local rules and regulations
  • Ability to interpret how such policies and procedures are to be applied in various situations
