The Boeing Company is seeking multiple Associate Software Cloud Engineers based out of either Berkeley MO, Colorado Springs CO, El Segundo CA, or Fairfax VA . The Boeing Company is seeking a cloud engineers to help guide the Boeing Enterprise DevSecOps transformation across all business units. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain modern cloud-based systems and infrastructure in a fast-paced agile environment. We seek candidates who have proven skills in SRE, DevOps, cloud environments, software development, test automation, and system automation. As a member of the Boeing Enterprise DevSecOps team, you will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to operation and support of cloud-based systems delivered to Boeing customers. Position Responsibilities: Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system. Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Supports software project management and software supplier management functions. Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics. Performs software research and trade studies. Troubleshoots software issues. Works under general supervision. Strong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final US Secret Clearance Post-Start is required . Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelors of Science or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Experience with programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or C++ Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset Experience with security controls such as DoD RMF, HIPAA, or SOC2 Experience with CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools. Experience designing and implementing full stack microservices infrastructure Experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level services, such as Identity and Access Management Experience with software security methods Experience using an array of automation tools (such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) Strong Linux experience Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
