The Director is responsible for maintaining the safe and efficient operations of all our offices. This includes electrical systems, mechanical systems and equipment, buildings, grounds and interior structure. This position will be responsible for strategic planning for all facility-related projects, as well as delivery of smaller construction projects within our corporate facilities, physician offices, ambulatory surgical centers and laboratories. The position will report to the Executive of Real Estate and Construction. Director of Facilities Management Responsibilities: Collaborates with Executive Management to develop and implement plans for Chesapeake Urology's facilities vision and growth. Collaborate with real estate brokers and developers in connection with site selection and feasibility. Develop and manage facilities budgets for all business units and offices. Responsible for vendor management of all facilities and office services vendors. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in commercial real estate, regulations, technologies, techniques and approaches in space planning and allocation. Coordinate with teams on the selection and supervision of architects, engineers, planning and design consultants, contractors, project managers, construction managers, inspectors, and/or other applicable professionals when required. Ensure compliance with health, safety and medical regulations at each location. Hires qualified team members serving as a catalyst and mentor for motivating productivity, innovation, high employee morale and commitment to the organization. Sets clear and specific expectations/objectives for team members and the department. Recognizes and provides coaching, counseling, and discipline as appropriate. Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Keywords: facilities, management, engineering, real estate, director Director of Facilities Management Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Preferably in Business, Facilities Management, Architecture, Engineering or Healthcare Administration. 10+ years of facilities management and design/project management work experience. Extensive lease negotiation experience and skill set. Proven track record of leading and managing multiple facets of multiple projects simultaneously. Managing multiple direct reports and external partners and consultants. Ability to prepare, track and report out on overall project budgets and schedules. Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts. Strong working knowledge of Project Management software. Ability to travel nationally
