Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will design and develop moderately complex solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments, including coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications under limited supervision. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The Sr. Messaging Engineer (integration, UNIX) role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: Develop moderately complex solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components. Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms. Draft and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Independently monitor advanced performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions. Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Minimum Required Experiences 4+ years Desired Experiences Bachelor degree or equivalent Open to work in our Plano, TX office Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing specifically migrating on-premise infrastructure to cloud environment Experience in other messaging products such as TIBCO EMS, SQS/SNS, SWIFT Experience in Python Exposure to working in agile framework Experience using SharePoint, Confluence Skills Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing Adept at managing project plans and resources to ensure successful project completion Skilled in establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc. Skilled in design documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software Experience monitoring and managing operation systems (OS), and staying current on patches, upgrades, and other elements of the OS Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal Experience working with diverse teams including business & technical architects, peers and mentoring junior team members Debugging and troubleshooting skills involving Queue Managers, Network or application integration issues. Design, Implementation and support experience involving HA Queue Managers, clusters and Disaster recovery. Familiar working in a UNIX environment Tools Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools for messaging products such as IBM MQ Experience with Installation, Configuration and Administration of IBM MQ 9.1 Queue Managers Experience supporting messaging / integration products: IBM MQ Skilled in UNIX scripting Additional Information Job REF ID: REF6700H The future is what you make it to be.
