We are seeking a Senior Principal Linux Systems Administrator for our Annapolis Junction, MD office. The Senior Principal Systems Administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems; manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems; provides support to IT systems including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems; provides second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolutions of problems; provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process; provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers; and possesses experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware: mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a technical degree and nine (9) years of relevant experience or a high school diploma and thirteen (13) years relevant experience. Extensive experience as a systems administration and be IAT Level 2 certified Must have experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Ability to serve as a principal advisor on all matters technical and otherwise involving the security of an IS. Must have experience with Nifi and Linux and/or Red Hat Linux (Cent OS) Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Agile development teams and participating in Scrum sessions. Experience providing assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems Experience managing daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems Experience ensuring that the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an Information System (IS) Ideal candidate will have several years of LINUX experience/Linux Server Certifications AJ2021 We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
