ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Perform HR Generalist duties as the HR point of contact for employees to include communication, policy and procedure application and questions Assist with background checks and follow up Assist with Zendesk ticket management to include completing exit activities, completing and closing out employee files at termination New Hire Processing - generate offer letters; distribute, collect and process new hire paperwork; initiate post-offer background checks and drug screens; conducts new employee orientation and benefits meetings Recruiting - possible high volume at times, responsible for scheduling, phone screening and conducting interviews at all career levels; follow-up on references and employment gaps discovered during background process, responsible for ensuring employment compliance Administrative - maintain and update employee files; maintain and update HR Information System; create, revise and update job descriptions, forms and other HR documents; responsible for monitoring, updating and compliance with federal and state regulations regarding notifications and postings, conducts regular employee file audits Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed Work with compliance vendor to add new employees and run reports Track temporary conversions and manage offer letters to conversions Manages onboarding program and exit interview process Assists with unemployment claims and timely filing of paperwork Responsible for background data entry Adding new hires to Communifire as needed Various other HR duties and responsibilities as assigned Protect organization's value and employee privacy by keeping information confidential. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE : Education: Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources. Associates degree with 3-5 years of related experience will be considered. Experience: Minimum: 2 years related HR Generalist experience, preferably in a small-company, rapid growth environment. Previous recruiting experience in a start-up high volume environment preferred. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. . Must be highly skilled in dealing with employee and benefits data. . Displays high level of organizational skills and detail orientation . Accounting knowledge and familiarity with Paylocity helpful but not required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Walking. Close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection.
