Overview: The Unison.NET Software Engineer is a hands-on role, that operate as part of a team and will be involved in the design and development of various web products using the Microsoft .NET platform. The developer must be skilled in several software languages, such as C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript and have experience of object-oriented principles and patterns. Experience with SQL and database design is also required for this position.Success in this role requires an innovative mind, a proven track record of software development, and a passion for creating market-leading software through agile methodologies. This position reports to a Software Development Manager. Responsibilities: Design and develop web solutions as needed in a variety of languages, such as C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, and Oracle.Design and develop new frameworks, patterns and modules that will integrate industry standard technologies with existing legacy systems.Develop unit tests to integrate into automated testing platform, as well as be an active participant in the code review process.Be an active participant in documenting code, processes, and procedures of the development team and recommend process improvements where observed.Engage with a broad range of Business and Technology colleagues in order to analyze functional and technical specifications and decompose them into testable units of workClearly communicate individual and team progress/challenges regularly. Qualifications: Minimum Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related field2-4 years of experience with C#, ASP.NET and the .NET Framework2-4 years of experience with SQL/Oracle and relational databases PL/SQL preferredKnowledge of core web technologies HTML, JavaScript, and CSSMust have experience using ASP.NET Web Forms MVC, Web API and modern JavaScript frameworks.Must have experience using industry best practice logging and error handling frameworks.Experience working with and developing centralized configuration frameworks is a plus.Experience with OpenAPI /Swagger is a plus.Experience with CI/CD tools (ie Team city /Octopus) is plus.Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operationsRequired Education and ExperienceBS or MS in a related fieldMinimum of 4 years of overall professional development experiencePhysical RequirementsQualified candidates will needto beable to commute to the Dulles, VA office and move/traverse throughout work facilityClearanceApplicants may need to be the subject of a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
