Position Summary: IT Support Analyst serves as the primary contact for all system users with troubleshooting complex issues, installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading personal computer hardware and software systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but not limited to:Configures and installs hardware and software for usersResponds to complex network and software problems via telephone, in-person and/or online support to end-usersCompletes new hire set-up and in training users on new software and hardware, when neededApplies technical expertise to the implementation, monitoring, or maintenance of IT systemsResolves complex hardware or software problems in response to user questions and requests for assistance by diagnosing the source of malfunctions, recommending corrective actions, and/or consulting with appropriate staff or vendorHelps maintain the security of the network, including administering e-mail and anti-virus systems and ensuring availability, continuity, and security of dataProvides updates, status and completion information to IT manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communicationRecommends changes or updates in programming, documentation, and training to address system deficiencies and user needs.Collaborate with the Manager, IT Operations Management to maintain Manages onsite IT inventory and asset management systemSupport scheduled evening and weekend support when appropriate Requirements: Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalency.Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience.Experience in hardware, software, network troubleshooting, complex operating system functionality or equivalent.Experience completing minor repair work to IT systems.Experience working with federal civilian or DOD personnel, including geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.Capable of working under tight deadlines, with the flexibilityand time management skillsto work onmultipleprojects concurrently.Technical communication, knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
