Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with strong JAVA EE (Enterprise Edition) background and a working knowledge of SQL. Experience with some basic Oracle database management tasks and data export from an MS Access database to an Oracle database using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a plus (but not required). The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Location: This position is located on-site at the customer's Suitland, MD offices.What you will be doing:The maintenance and improvement of a database-backed legacy JAVA Enterprise Edition (EE) application.The handling of some minor Oracle database administration tasks such as the export of data from one instance of Oracle to another instance on a different database server.The troubleshooting of issues related to the JAVA EE application, its data access, or related issues when they occur.
