Benefits : * Responsible for the overall design, implementation, and administration of all global benefits plans, including medical, dental, life, disability, retirement, and paid and regulatory leave programs * Assess company benefits offerings on a global scale to ensure market competitiveness and fiscal responsibility * Evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts and relationships with vendors and brokers; recommend and implement process improvements with vendors * Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws * Accurately advise employee on their inquiries in accordance with current Company policies * Manage leave and disability programs, including FMLA and Medical Leave of Absence * Maintain benefits portal(s), employee-facing information on intranet/HRIS pages, and enrollment data with benefits vendors * Coordinate benefits billing and subsequent reporting with Finance * Oversee open enrollments, renewals, and onboarding/offboarding of new hires or leavers Payroll : * Manage global payroll processes and daily oversight of payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely payments to employees * Coordinate with payroll vendors on all period, quarterly, and year-end tax reporting, reconciliations, and amendments * Coordinate with payroll providers on country-specific issues * Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements for each jurisdiction * Research, analyze, and execute on new jurisdictions of operation * Execute on payroll fund transfers, post-payroll reporting, financial reporting, and ad hoc payroll projects with Finance * Compile payroll documentation and maintain files * Respond to employee queries and resolve payroll issues * Access and maintain multiple payroll systems * Work with auditors on quarterly and annual payroll audits HR Data Management : * Maintain employee data in Payroll, HRIS, and benefits systems * Respond to Due Diligence requests and ad hoc headcount queries * Participate in government census filings and regulatory audit requests Assist the broader HR Department with team-wide initiatives * Assist on updates to HR policies and procedures * With outside counsel, assess tax, benefits, and payroll implications of employee mobility * Provide research, input, and feedback on HR projects Knowledge : * College degree or equivalent professional work experience * Minimum of 5 years applied experience in benefits * Global experience in benefits and HR * Expertise with US ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, IRC Section 125, and FMLA regulations required * Familiarity with international markets and regulations a plus * Prior payroll experience a plus * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Skills and abilities : * High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail * Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills * Strong sense of independent learning and and curiosity to learn * Ability to prioritize work assignments as required * Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills * Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion * Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external personnel in a mature, professional manner * Strong sense of teamwork, including willingness to offer assistance when there is a need * Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure * Flexible, adaptable, proactive, self-reliant individual who is able to work independently * Previous experience managing multiple projects with deadlines * Exposure to and understanding of the investment management industry preferred We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
