The Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) team is seeking a Systems Engineer . The Systems Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting Digital Engineering solutions aligned to the RI&S Common Engineering Digital Engineering strategy , vision, and goals. The ideal candidate will join the RI&S Model Based Digital Thread (MBDT) t eam and collaborate with other RI&S Common Engineering solution development and engagement teams to implement Model Based Engineering capabilities and practices as part of the standard Digital Engineering Environment. The role requires application of Digital Engineering and the digital thread principles. The role may participate in new business activities such as proposals and architecture/designs as needed in support of solution deployment within RI&S. This role may also periodically lead, or mentor junior team members, execute trade studies, develop prototypes, create metrics, and prepare and present technical Information to an audience. The role requires flexibility to work hybrid work schedule of remote and on-site availability in the Richardson TX, Sterling VA, or Aurora CO areas. Responsibilities Include: Develop technical solutions to meet Digital Engineering needs for Systems Engineering including interfaces with other disciplines Identify gaps, develop, and validate solutions to enable digital engineering and digital thread principles to mature existing solutions Communicate solutions through models and other end user documentation Collaborate closely with MBDT architect providing CONOPS input and refinement Collaborate with other partner teams (tool chain, ADSO, tools teams, deployment) to coordinate and optimize solutions Participate in team backlog and increment planning and daily standups Clearance requirement: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance Required Skills: Familiarity with DOORS Next Generation and requirements development and management Familiarity with Cameo/MagicDraw/Teamwork Cloud and SysML modeling Familiarity with MagicGrid methodology Familiarity with model-based system level test planning, execution and management. Familiarity with digital engineering principles and methods Proficiency working in agile approach Ability to communicate technical concepts both up and down the management chain Work independently, without much supervision, and ensure project goals are met Experience in integrating COTS solutions Desired Skills: Familiarity with system performance modeling tools Familiarity with mechanical and electrical modeling tools Familiarity with digital twin concepts Education Requirements: Requires a BA/BS degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience.
