Description A2 Federal is bidding on a proposal providing linguistic support services; culture expertise, interpretation and translation of foreign language material, subject matterexpertise and information technology to support counterintelligence activities in the National Capital Region (NCR). Requirements Provide real-time language interpretation or intormat10n obtained throughout the CJ operating cycle. Provide written translations of obtained material using correct syntax and expressions from the native language to English. Provide written translations of material using correct syntax and expression from English to native language. Provide input to and produce oral and written reports and briefings. Provide input to and produce intelligence reporting IAW proper formats and requirements. Conduct and document quality control checks of internal translated material. Advise the Government lead(s) on cultural, social and ethnic significance of conversations, situations, documents, etc. in designated regions or geographic locations. Remain current on cultural, social and ethnic issues in relation to language. Use current threat information provided by the government to assist in the assessment of impact on the cultural, social and ethnic issues in relation to the language. Use computer programs to include Microsoft (MS) Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point), Adobe Standard, and related services. Input/maintain associated external and internal databases to track daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual activities. Provide input to office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provide weekly activity reports as necessary. Qualifications Language skill must meet the American Translation Association Standards. Have an acceptable Defense Language Proficiency Test minimum score of3/3 or be native proficient by having a 3-4 skill level in speaking, reading, writing, listening on the Interagency Language Roundtable Test (ILRT) and have an ILRT level 3 in English. Test scores will not be greater than one year old. Be versed in the cultural, social and ethnic issues in relation to language skill. Have experience in at least two of the following areas: Counterintelligence (collection, operations and/or analysis), HUMINT (collection, operations, and/or analysis), military, open source collection or the use of current social media and mobile applications.
