To learn more please visit us at .Position Overview:This critical role will help to lead McCormick's Global Information Technology Software Asset Management practice. The Software Asset Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day core activities of the SAM function, including identifying optimization, compliance, and cost reduction opportunities; creating and executing action plans to achieve stated objectives or resolve discrepancies. You will help to support, and or initiate process improvements to develop best practices in software and license management.Key Responsibilities:Assist in developing and enhancing methodologies, policies and practices for implementing standard software asset life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience as part of a cycle of continuous improvement and compliance.Develop quality assurance practices and practices for the administration of software license contracts, maintenance and entitlementsEnsure that software acquisition, management, and disposal processes, including those of external service providers, are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies, applicable standards, legislation and contractual obligationsExecute software asset life cycle management status reporting, metrics, and benchmarksSupport the staff and processes necessary to identify current and emerging software asset life cycle costs and risks to the organization.
