The Network Services Architect (NSA) is responsible for the development of competitive, innovative, complex, multi-year, viable Managed Network Services (MNS) solutions and associated cost cases. Network Services Architects are expected to spend 40-70% of their time in face-to-face discussions with NTT clients. They are responsible for the business and technical solution assembly of strategic platform based Managed Network Services to large global clients. They will the lead client discussions on current state discovery and analysis, solution architecture and manage a virtual team of network and network security subject-matter experts to orchestrate the development of complex, multiple year, managed network services solutions and associated cost cases. The expected outcome will be to ensure consistent delivery of high quality services and/or solutions which meet client business and technical requirements and fulfill NTT's obligations. The NSA's leadership provides the foundation of the NTT solution that influences our sales teams, commercials, legal and delivery strategies for the engagement. NSA's own the definition of the services solutions, are accountable for the overall solution design of the engagement.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork very closely with Client Managers and Sales Specialist in selling directly to clients and functioning as the lead client interface for the technical aspect of the solution.Understand the client requirements in depth, own the overall solution and associated cost case and are accountable to drive the various functional teams in the region and global service units develop a competitive, yet viable, solution which meets the client's requirements and NTT's win strategy.Must ensure that the solution and cost case have NTT commitment from all areas including senior executives as appropriate, design and document the End to End solution and transition architecture at a competitive cost;Ensures the evolving NTT solution and associated costs continue to be properly reflected in the price, proposal, and contract and also meet the customer's current and future requirements and baselines.Provide End-to-End solution input into the engagement and negotiation strategy; articulate all solution, transition, transformation and steady state requirements of the customer;Lead the overall deal approval, support any solution or transition negotiation activity, accept responsibility for specific contract schedules; sign off on the total technical solution documentation and final cost model; and Initiate the Engagement Handover meeting(s) to Delivery Project ExecutiveCommunicate the Solution Strategy to the NTT engagement team; fix or escalate anything that stands in the way of winning; Interface directly with Sales and Executive management.Education/Qualifications Required Bachelors or higher is required, preferably in Information Technology or BusinessNSA roles with demonstrated success in selling large complex managed network services engagements. Must have 10+ years in various network service architect and solution development rolesBased on own knowledge of future trends anticipates, create and define innovative and visionary transition solutions for leading edge or critical customer business requirements;Use creative break through thinking in dealing with complex situations;Resolve and represent complex/difficult technical and commercial issues and customer requirements to executives throughout NTT; Anticipate potential transition related problems;Utilize refined techniques for identifying, eliminating or mitigating solution, transition, and business risk;As appropriate, challenge the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement;Analyze information and situations and implement actions, independently and / or through the management team, to ensure transition objectives are met; andAnalyze new and complex transition related problems and create innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components. Experience building sales teams and/or transforming sales teams to increase productivitySkills and Core CompetenciesExpertise with target solutions and how they impact a client's businessStrong understanding of Enterprise Networking services, SD-WAN technology, SASE or Cloud based networking solutionsProven leadership in positioning and selling complex managed services including a very strong understanding of network operations, automation technologies and service delivery processStrong consultative selling skills consistent with NTT's Solution Selling methodology, Team player able to coordinate and lead appropriate resourcesIn-depth knowledge of relevant business metrics and economics, ability to articulate the business value of platform based managed network servicesEffective interaction and relationship building at senior and technical levels within the client's environmentExcellent communication skills with Ability to negotiate & influence clients
