Job Description Overview: STARGATES has provided Engineering and Technology solutions to government customers for over 20 years. STARGATES provides software engineering and database management support to the Department of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) for their Program Budget Information System (PBIS) system. OPNAV uses PBIS to perform the programming and budgeting functions in the PPBE process. Position Description: The software engineer will provide operation and maintenance support, to include maintaining current application functionality while working with a cross functional agile scrum team to design and implement modern solutions to meet evolving requirements. The software engineer will work under the direction of a technical lead, but is expected to be able to work independently on routine operational support. Position Location: Primarily the Pentagon, with some time in Chantilly, VA, and some time remote. All development is to be done in the development environment located in Chantilly.
