Job Description Vision Technologies is a full-service IT/IP integration company for commercial enterprise and federal clients. Vision is currently looking for a high caliber Network Solutions Architect with extensive experience in developing LAN/ WLAN solutions, both in the commercial enterprise and Federal space. The Network Solutions Architect is responsible for the estimating and design of large network technology and communications networks as well as point to point/multiple point solutions for campus connectivity. Additionally, developing and maintaining strong channel relationships providing business development and growth for the department. Position Description: Network Engineer As a Network Solutions Architect the following responsibilities are required * Develop cost estimates and designs for small to enterprise size LAN/WLAN networks. Responsible for oversight of the configuration, maintenance, and capacity planning for networking technologies * Responsible to design, engineer, and develop technology solutions from a stated customer need, drawings, or bid documents. * Present and effectively communicate the enterprise architecture, engineering and strategy around the proposed technology and design * Work with a wide variety of clients performing assessments, surveys, designs and full enterprise class WLAN/LAN solutions and implementations. * Provides knowledge transfer to clients on implemented solutions. * Provide engineered solutions, pricing and proposal support to account teams and project managers by translating designs into bills of materials, labor estimates, and scopes of work. * Assist field engineers with optimization recommendations, troubleshooting and engineering support * Perform ongoing system testing, test analysis, troubleshooting, test reports and recommendation for changes and upgrades. * Administrate, teach and share the tools and reports available from Cisco Prime, Aruba Central, Mist Marvis, Fortinet Cloud, & Ruckus Cloud. * Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with strategic partners. * Collaborate with Project Managers other project leadership during installation and commissioning. * Develop and present the technology lifecycle and roadmap for LAN/WAN technologies including risks, technology refresh, migration & retirement strategies. * Stay ahead of market trends and direction in the channel and vendor communities. Identify new opportunities and go to market strategies for use of new technology. * Educate the project teams and appropriate management in the use of the technologies in scope. * Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network problems. * Provides knowledge transfer to clients on implemented solutions. Ability to communicate in a direct, concise manner in both verbal and written interactions. * Ability to manage expectations of internal and external customers and keep them informed. * Ability to develop effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders * Independent, self-driven, highly customer focused and able to work under minimum supervision * Proactive and results-oriented * Highly dependable * Customer service focused * Desire to continuously improvement at a personal level. * Solid leadership skills with the ability to influence others to take action. * Able to effectively present and interact with senior executives Qualifications * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or 10 years of technical experience. * Seven 7 years of progressive experience in planning, designing, implementation, and analyzing data networks. * At least 5 years of Cisco/Juniper/Aruba/Ruckus networking experience focused in Wireless, Routing, and Switching with hands on experience designing and implementing secure 802.11 WiFi solutions. * Pre-Sales experience with technology solution sets * Experience in these following Technical Platforms * Aruba AOS & CX Series * Aruba Wireless (500 Series) * Aruba ClearPass * Cisco Catalyst 9200/9300 Switches * FortiGate NGFW * Juniper SRX | QFX | EX Appliances & Switches * Fiber as well as Ethernet Networking * Cisco ISE * Cisco SDA/ACI * Experience with AirMagnet and/or Ekahau wireless toolsets is a preferred.
